Stewardship

Stewardship is a concept we actively embrace at First Presbyterian Church in the giving of our time, talents and financial resources. Scripture encourages us to tithe, to give 10% of our income, and also to make additional, weekly offerings as an active part of worship. We encourage setting the tithe as a goal as well as making your first and your largest gift be your gift to God. Our annual fall stewardship fundraising effort provides our members the opportunity to consider prayerfully how God has blessed them and to give back in proportion to their blessings in support of the many and growing programs we offer at FPC. We encourage parents to instill in their children the discipline of regular giving, and we seek pledges from everyone that can be paid weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually, in cash, check, or in the form of appreciated securities. Our annual budget is approximately $1.6 million and growing, and individual contributions comprise almost 90% of our total income.
