Sunday School / Bible Studies
Sunday School is offered each Sunday morning from 9:45-10:45 am, September through May. We begin with fellowship in the church recreation room and then disperse to our classes. The Sunday School hour is a time for youth to learn about the scriptures and how they relate to teenagers. During this time youth explore and grow in their faith by asking questions in an open learning environment.

Youth Sunday School classes are taught by teams of dedicated teachers who are committed to the youth of First Presbyterian Church. If you are interested in becoming a youth Sunday School teacher, please contact Jonathan Read, Director of Youth Ministry.

Middle School Youth are currently engaged in a curriculum entitled I Know My Bible by "We Believe." Through this study, our middle school youth are given an overview of the Bible and opportunities to discover and discuss how the scriptures relate to their lives today.

Senior High Youth are studying a curriculum entitled Route 66, which is basically a "road trip" through the scriptures. Through this study, senior high youth are learning how all 66 books of the Bible reveal the Good News of God's love for each of us.

Confirmation Class - This is an opportunity for our youth to learn about the church and personal faith. Through the confirmation process, youth prepare to profess their faith, renounce evil and take responsibility for active participation in the life and mission of the church. During this eight-month class, our youth are encouraged to make a personal commitment to God and to the church. The confirmation class is currently using the "We Believe" curriculum entitled Professing Out Faith.

Confirmation classes are currently offered to sixth grade youth, beginning in September and concluding in April.

"Coffee Talk" - This weekly Bible study for senior high youth takes place at the Huguenot Bridge Starbucks for a mid-week jolt of Jesus. Join us each week as we drink coffee and explore the scriptures together. Click here for current study topics.
