Our stated purpose
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, we commit ourselves to:
- nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study
- support the mission of the church worldwide
- work for justice and peace
- build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom
PW Ministry
Presbyterian Women get together for Bible or book discussion, service projects, luncheon programs, spiritual support, fellowship and fun. Our purpose is to emphasize and enjoy our Christian faith through these activities and more. PW is composed of a Coordinating Council with officers, committee chairs and circle leaders who carry out the stated purpose and goals of PW.
There are seven PW circles that meet monthly to provide small group study and spiritual support. Luncheon programs are held monthly, September through May, and are open to all women in the church and their guests. The entire congregation is frequently invited to attend as well.
Every woman, by virtue of being a member of FPC, is automatically a member of PW and will be placed in a circle of her choosing. One may change circle membership at any time. A more complete explanation of PW, including the bylaws, calendar, council and circle members, and a full directory may be found in the annual PW Yearbook/Directory, copies of which are available in the church office.
We invite you to join in the myriad of opportunities offered by Presbyterian Women for service and fellowship in the life of our church.
